A visitor who travels for recreation and stay at least a single overnight in a hotel is known as tourist. Due to some motives, most of people love travelling from one place to another. The motivations for travelling present days are somehow different to what those were at the beginning of human civilization. But, in course of time, the concept of travel gradually changed and eventually gave the birth of the concept of tourism. 

Tourism describes mainly the activities of mankind with the mankind concerned with the development of tourist movement. Regarding this, tourism is a fundamental and a desirable human activity which is, now days, expanding as a service industry throughout the world. As we know that that Nepal is traditionally a tourist center country not only because of its geographical attraction but also its historical places. Due to its natural beauties, Nepal attracts many tourists every year. Therefore, tourist trade in Nepal has been important trade and fast growing service industry as well.it has been a main source of income. This is the reason that Nepal has made different efforts to develop the requirements of needed in tourism.

Tourists help us to learn their customs and language. The person who works in hotels and travels agencies may learn some foreign customs and languages from tourists. They also help us to develop and promote or cultural and heritage tourism. Culture and heritage tourism, on the other hand, teaches tolerance towards cultures different from other. Thus it become a powerful relations among the nations. It is, therefore, tourists trade in Nepal has been doing more contribution to the economic and cultural growth in different regions Nepal. Although the tourists trade in Nepal has been a fast growing service industry it has some challenging too. Transportation and security are the major problem in the field of tourist industry. Majority of the tourists places are remote areas .these places have not yet linked with even a good motor able road. There are not enough standard hotels and other facilities.so the government should apply a good policy about it. In order to promote the tourism industry the concern organization should play vital role. Similarly we should provide all kind of facilities to them as much as possible. In this way, maximum number of tourists should be lured in order to uplift the tourists’ trade in Nepal.
